Are you a Senior Care Assistant looking for a role with better support, consistent shifts and career progression opportunities? If yes then look no further, Richmond Village in Nantwich are looking for a Senior Carer to join their team, where you will mentor care assistants, build relationships with residents their families, and be trusted to make a real difference in a supportive, "well-led" home. You will have day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers and assisting residents with a range of personal care duties. You will support with training and supervisions of new staff members, so they feel welcomed and supported. Your role is pivotal in the running of the unit, where you will be responsible for all care duties in the home, including observation, medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping. - You'll have completed or will be working towards an NVQ3 in care. We're more than happy to support you in the completion of your qualification if needed.
- Proven experience of working within a Senior Care or Team Leader role
- You will have experience of delivering person-centred care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own
- Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality
- Accurate record keeping and electronic care planning
- Moving and handling techniques
