Applicantswillneed to beeducated to Masters level or possess a higher specialist diploma. Candidateswill need to be able to demonstratewell developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to lead and support individual and team working. The successfulcandidate will supervisea defined section of the laboratory, undertake aspects of diagnostic laboratory workand supporttheOperational Manager to take forward key serviceand workforce objectives.
The laboratory operates a 7 day, 24 hr service and working patterns will includeshifts coveringcore days, evenings and weekends on arotational basis.

North Wales also has affordable housing and good public transport and road links across Wales to England and further afield - with Ireland also only a short boat trip away.
Informal visits are actively encouraged, come see the laboratory andmeet the team.
We are seeking a HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist with relevant experience in diagnostic Microbiology, to join the Public Health Wales Microbiology Service based at Glan Clwyd Hospital., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post but not essential; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
