Our team delivers the engineering, construction, and maintenance of these critical energy infrastructure systems.
In this role, you will be pivotal in winning project tenders that fuel businesses, keep homes warm, and support sustainable energy generation. United Infrastructure is committed to enhancing the UK's water systems through clean and dirty water infrastructure upgrades. We design, install, repair, and commission solutions that address the challenges of an increasing population and changing climate.
As a Senior Bid Manager, you will lead complex submissions that directly impact the quality of clean water for homes and businesses, reduce flooding during heavy rainfall, and protect our natural environment.
We Are Interested In Hearing From Candidates Who:
- Have extensive experience in bid management within construction, engineering, or major infrastructure projects
- Possess exceptional writing skills and the ability to craft compelling, client-focused submissions
- Are adept at leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving collaboration across functions
- Have a proven track record of managing end-to-end bid processes, ideally on high-value or technically complex projects
- Bring strategic thinking and the ability to articulate clear win themes and value propositions
- Are passionate about shaping the future of energy and water systems through innovative infrastructure solutions
Key Responsibilities
As a senior member of the work-winning function, you will provide leadership and oversight to the bid process, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, winning submissions. You will be responsible for:
- Leading and facilitating bid strategy sessions, kick-off meetings, workshops, and senior review panels
- Interpreting client requirements and translating them into winning strategies and compliant responses
- Coaching and mentoring junior bid managers and writers within the team
- Overseeing the production of compelling, well-structured responses that differentiate our offering
- Working closely with directors, subject matter experts, and delivery teams to define win themes and value propositions
- Managing multiple complex bids simultaneously, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality
- Engaging with live projects to gather insight and evidence for persuasive case studies and success stories
