Full Job Description
From the border to the courtroom, the systems that keep citizens safe and deliver justice are under pressure to modernise. Bad actors are transnational, digital, and fast-moving. They exploit encrypted communications, cryptocurrency, and jurisdictional gaps. At the same time, justice systems face growing demands for transparency, speed, and access. The agencies and institutions that modernise can respond to threats faster, manage digital evidence at scale, and deliver justice outcomes that maintain public trust. Across the globe, national law enforcement agencies, homeland security and border organisations, domestic intelligence services, and justice departments are held back by legacy technology, fragmented data, and operating models designed before the digital age. Whether the challenge is countering terrorism, dismantling organised crime, tackling economic crime, securing borders, or transforming how courts manage cases and evidence, the mission depends on technology that can ingest, analyse, and share information across agencies, borders, and justice institutions at speed. In this role, you will lead how AWS engages the full spectrum of public safety, security, and justice agencies worldwide. You will shape the global strategy, build trusted relationships with senior leaders across national policing, homeland security, border agencies, interior ministries, justice departments, and international cooperation bodies, and bring the right technology and partners together to help these organisations transform. The ideal candidate will bring deep operational credibility across the policing, security, or justice landscape, with firsthand experience of the threats, capabilities, and institutional dynamics that define these sectors. You will have operated at senior levels within a national law enforcement, homeland security, or justice agency. You will understand how cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and digital forensics can transform operational effectiveness across the value chain from investigation through to prosecution and case management. You will be equally comfortable briefing senior government leaders on threat modernisation as you are shaping a go-to-market strategy with a technology partner. You will define repeatable approaches that enable AWS teams across regions to engage effectively. Key job responsibilities
- Shape and execute the global strategy for AWS engagement with public safety, security, and justice agencies, creating pipeline and driving cloud adoption outcomes across multiple countries.
- Build executive relationships with senior leaders across national policing organisations, homeland security and border agencies, domestic intelligence services, justice departments, and prosecution authorities.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with international law enforcement and justice cooperation bodies and multilateral organisations involved in cross-border security and judicial cooperation.
- Translate complex operational requirements into cloud adoption strategies across areas including digital forensics, open source intelligence (OSINT), communications data, biometrics, cryptocurrency investigations, intelligence-led policing, counter-terrorism, court modernisation, and digital evidence management.
- Navigate data sovereignty, lawful access, and cross-border cooperation requirements unique to policing and justice, positioning sovereign cloud solutions where required.
- Develop repeatable playbooks and mechanisms that enable regional field teams to engage public safety, security, and justice customers effectively.
- Work with consulting and technology partners, including system integrators and specialist Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in digital forensics, body-worn video, biometrics, OSINT, predictive analytics, and justice case management, to build co-selling frameworks and integrated offerings.
- Serve as AWS's external voice in public safety, security, and justice, representing the company at ministerial engagements, international summits, senior law enforcement and justice forums, and industry conferences. Publish thought leadership including white papers, case studies, and keynote presentations.
Experience in security, law enforcement, or intelligence roles - Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
- Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
- Deep, firsthand understanding of operational, technological, and policy challenges across the public safety and justice landscape, including countering terrorism, organised crime, economic crime, cyber-enabled crime, cross-border threats, and justice system modernisation.
- Demonstrated track record of leading large teams and driving transformational change within complex, high-stakes law enforcement, security, or justice environments., Experience coordinating and leading large-scale Digital or Global IT Transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
- Experience in business development and building strong client relationship
- Career-spanning experience across multiple disciplines (for example, operations, intelligence collection, digital forensics, international cooperation, economic crime, counter-terrorism, prosecution, or court administration).
- Existing senior-level network across international law enforcement, homeland security, and justice communities.
- Track record of published thought leadership, public speaking, or policy contributions in the fields of policing, organised crime, counter-terrorism, homeland security, or justice modernisation.
- Languages relevant to priority markets and international cooperation would be an asset.
