Full Job Description

  • The postholder designs, builds, and operates the Azure cloud platform and hybrid on-premises infrastructure supporting 2 production healthcare systems:
  • Screening - Django web application on Azure Container Apps
  • Screening Gateway - on-premises Python DICOM gateway deployed across 70+ sites via Azure Relay Hybrid Connections
  • Owning end-to-end solution design (networking, security, identity, compute, storage, observability), delivering all IaC, maintaining CI/CD, and producing operational and governance documentation.
  • Aligning role with Microsoft Support and Customer Success, acting as the single point of contact for escalations, architecture reviews, and proactive service improvements. Communicating design-and-build inputs and improvements effectively to Microsoft Teams.
  • Overseeing technical excellence within the engineering team by identifying gaps and ensuring quality, while maintaining clear communication with senior clients and internal stakeholders regarding technical progress and issues.

    Hands-on experience with Cloud Architecture Design and/or Cloud Architectural Patterns for Development
  • Experience leading other Cloud Architects and leading delivery engagements
  • Advanced knowledge ofAzure (other cloud provider is a plus)
  • Solid engineering/technical background/hands-on experience with conceptualizing, strategizing, and architecting cloud solutions.
  • Windows and/or Linux sys op background
  • Previous experience in the design and delivery of systems based on IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings, as well as exposure to different architecture models
  • DevOps skills for leading the team and consulting the customer
  • Experience with building CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of security, network, virtualization, load balancer, storage, and database
  • Container technologies experience (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Hands-on experience with IaC for managing the cloud
  • Coding/scripting skills (Bash, Python, Powershell, or similar)
  • Active customer consultant and pre-sales attitude are a must
  • Fluent communication skills in English
