Full Job Description
Chiltern House Medical Centre is seeking an experienced Senior Administrator to join the team on a permanent, full time basis. The post holder will support the day to day running of the practice, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of clinical, reception and administrative services while maintaining high standards of patient care. The role involves supporting the practice leadership team, coordinating daily administrative workflows, assisting with reception and administrative functions, and ensuring effective communication and collaborative working across the surgery. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting staff, maintaining efficient processes and contributing to continuous improvement across the practice., This is a permanent, full time position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to develop their career within a busy GP practice and make a valuable contribution to the continued smooth running of Chiltern House Medical Centre.,
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice
- Lead and support the reception and administrative teams
- Ensure high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and service delivery
- Manage and optimize daily workflows using EMIS
- Work collaboratively with the practice leadership team to maintain operational continuity and efficiency
- Support staff performance, training, and effective team working
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and overall practice efficiency
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of practice policies and procedures
- Respond to operational issues and ensure they are resolved promptly and effectively
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience within a GP surgery or primary care setting, with a good understanding of practice operations, patient services and administrative processes. Experience with EMIS is highly desirable. The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
