Full Job Description
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Altrincham. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and involves supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across the school. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
- Support pupils' academic progress as well as social and emotional development
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff members
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) - Experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
