SEND Programme Project Worker (Further Education)

About Us

halow supports over 350 young adults with learning disabilities and autism to live a life of purpose. Learning new skills, becoming more independent and leading them to live the life they ve always wanted.

Job Description

Location: Guildford and Woking, with some sessions delivered across Surrey venues.

Hours: Full time 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm with occasional weekends and evenings for specific events (Potential for term time only contracts).

Annual Leave: 33 days, inclusive of bank holidays.

Training: Fully paid training is given and further development opportunities are available.

Start Date: We are hiring for the new academic year in September, with an estimated start date of the beginning of August.

You will be responsible for:

Supporting the delivery of sessions to groups of between 6-12 young adults

Encouraging learners to participate in facilitated sessions.

Safely transporting learners around the community to different venues.

Providing a high level of service and support to our participants, colleagues and stakeholders

Safeguarding ensuring compliance with regulations and legislation.

Requirements

Experience of working with individuals with a learning disability.

Excellent communication and organisation skills

Enthusiastic and caring

Confident in supporting and group sessions

Due to the physical nature of the programme and community working, a good level of fitness and stamina is required.

Aged 18 and above.

Right to work in the UK.

Willing to provide suitable reference and undertake a DBS Check. The initial cost of the DBS application will be paid for by halow.

Interviews for this role are ongoing and we reserve the right to make an appointment during the advertising period, so early applications are encouraged.
