Full Job Description

  • Managing a caseload of children and young people who require special educational provision through an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan.
  • Coordinating and supporting statutory EHC needs assessments and annual reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and timescales.
  • Working closely with children, young people and their families to ensure their views, aspirations and desired outcomes are central to planning and provision.
  • Developing effective partnerships with colleagues across education, health, social care and the voluntary sector to promote a coordinated approach to support.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Council's statutory SEND responsibilities and contributing to positive, measurable outcomes for children and young people.
    • As part of the SEND Team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of both pre-16 and post-16 SEND services across Lincolnshire, supporting continuous improvement in line with local priorities and national policy.     In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
