Full Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and organised SEND Case Co-ordinator to join our Children & Young People directorate. This role is central to the effective administration and coordination of statutory SEND processes and plays a vital part in ensuring children and young people with SEND aged 0-25 receive timely, legally compliant support., As a SEND Case Co-ordinator, you will provide high-quality administrative and coordination support to the SEND service, ensuring statutory assessment, planning and review processes are progressed accurately and within legal timescales., You will act as a key point of liaison between families, schools, education settings and multi-agency partners across education, health and social care. The role involves managing case information, coordinating communications and documentation, and supporting the production and maintenance of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).,
- Coordinating statutory SEND processes, including EHC needs assessments, EHCP amendments and annual reviews, ensuring compliance with legal timescales
- Drafting, updating and issuing Education, Health and Care Plans in line with statutory guidance and agreed templates, under the oversight of a Case Officer
- Acting as a point of contact for parents/carers, children and young people, schools and partner agencies, ensuring clear and timely communication
- Liaising with education, health and social care professionals to gather information and contributions required for EHCPs and reviewsMaintaining accurate, up-to-date case records on SEND systems and corporate databasesSupporting and coordinating annual review processes, including arranging meetings, circulating paperwork and recording outcomes
- Attending meetings where required, including annual reviews and internal or multi-agency discussions
- Preparing case summaries, reports and data to support decision-making and service monitoring
- Contributing to service improvement by identifying administrative efficiencies and supporting performance monitoring
This is a busy, detail-focused role requiring excellent organisation, strong written communication skills and confidence in working with a wide range of stakeholders., You will be highly organised, methodical and confident in managing multiple cases at different stages of statutory processes. You will have experience of administrative or coordination work within a SEND, education or public-sector environment and an understanding of the importance of accuracy, compliance and effective communication. You will bring: - Knowledge of SEND legislation, statutory processes and the SEND Code of PracticeExperience of coordinating casework, documentation or statutory processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and professionally
- Confidence in drafting clear, accurate reports and statutory documentation
- Excellent IT skills, with experience of maintaining records and working with case management systems
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals
