Make a Difference to the Lives of Children and Young People

Lancashire County Council is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and solution-focused professional to join our Access to Resource Team (ART) as a SEND ART Brokerage Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to secure high-quality education placements and support services for children and young people with SEND.

About the Role

You will lead a team of Brokerage Officers, work closely with schools, providers and partners, oversee complex placement activity, support market engagement and ensure placements deliver excellent outcomes and value for money.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage SEND Brokerage Officers.
  • Secure specialist education placements.
  • Build strong provider relationships.
  • Monitor activity and performance.
  • Identify gaps in provision.
  • Support innovative solutions for children with complex needs.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience within SEND, education, commissioning, brokerage or children's services.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, excellent negotiation skills, resilience, and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
