We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our admin team working within our SEND Department. This role will be based in the busy SEND area and the postholder will provide advice and guidance to students, parents, colleagues and other agencies along with providing admin and organisational support to the pastoral leaders. The post will involve supporting the admin needs of the SEND departments in both Notre Dame School and St Boniface's College.

The successful candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills; be able to interact on all levels, use a firm but fair approach with students, adjust their approach appropriate to the audience and the situation, and make sound judgements. An ability to remain calm whilst under pressure is essential, along with a good sense of humour.

Strong administrative skills are required and will be tested at interview e.g. competence with Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel along with experience of working with the Google package (Drive/Sheets/Docs etc) is essential. On the job training will be provided for other packages, such as SIMS/other digital platforms. The postholder will be responsible for preparing documents for a variety of SEND related events and meetings along with supporting the SENDCo to deliver the provision from an admin perspective by arranging meetings, planning diaries and liaising with colleagues, both internal and external.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a passion for working with young people, have an understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding (training provided) and be adaptable, resilient and optimistic. Experience of working in an educational environment is desirable but not essential.

The postholder will both triage and deliver first aid as required, therefore willingness to undertake formal First Aid training and maintain the qualification, is essential.
