We are seeking an outstanding SENCO to lead and coordinate high-quality SEND provision, ensuring every student receives the support, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive both academically and personally. This is a rewarding opportunity for a knowledgeable and compassionate professional who is committed to championing inclusion, collaborating with colleagues and families, and helping students overcome barriers to learning As SENCO, you will take a strategic and operational lead for SEND provision, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements while promoting outstanding inclusive education practices across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, families, and external agencies, you will coordinate support for students with a range of additional needs, oversee EHCP processes, and drive continual improvement in provision and outcomes. What you will be doing

• Leading and managing effective SEND provision across the setting.
• Coordinating and chairing EHCP annual reviews and maintaining accurate SEND documentation.
• Providing expert guidance and support to teaching and support staff.
• Monitoring student progress and evaluating the impact of interventions.
• Working collaboratively with families, local authorities, and external professionals.
• Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice, and statutory requirements.
• Supporting the development of inclusive teaching strategies and personalised support plans.
• Using data and provision mapping to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
  
  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant professional qualification required
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND
• Experience leading or coordinating SEND provision.
• Possesses strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Has experience managing EHCPs and working with external agencies.
• Can support and develop staff to deliver outstanding inclusive practice.
• NASENCO qualification (or willingness to achieve it) desired
• Leadership or management experience desired
