Full Job Description

  • Support, mentoring and CPD within school and across all other schools in Emmaus Catholic Multi Academy Company.

This is to determine suitability to work with children and keep them safe. All shortlisted candidates are now subject to an on-line check and if there is anything concerning, then the shortlisted candidate will be asked to comment on it either prior to interview.

    The Local Governing Body at St Gregory's Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated SENCO teacher to join our primary school team! This part-time position is perfect for someone who can commit to 2 days a week. If you're passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on young learners, we'd love to hear from you!,
  • Understand and respect the Mission and Catholic ethos of the school and the Emmaus MAC.
  • Have experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Have A good understanding of relevant laws, policies, and best practices related to SEND.
  • Ability to coordinate support plans, liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A caring attitude and patience when working with children with diverse needs.
  • Have a good understanding of the requirements of the national curriculum.
  • Be enthusiastic, motivated and organised.
  • Can develop children's well-being and self-esteem.
  • Contribute towards the wider life of the school and community- building and maintaining positive relationships throughout
