Full Job Description

  • Provide tailored educational support in a safe and supportive home or community setting.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, creative learning activities aligned with the child's cognitive and emotional needs.
  • Focus on building trust, confidence, and core academic and life skills at a pace suited to the child's development.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and other professionals involved in the child's care.

    Proven experience supporting children with SEN, particularly brain injury, or learning difficulties.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to education.
  • Patient, compassionate, and flexible teaching style.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, with a child-led and needs-led approach.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (e.g., QTS, HLTA, SEN diploma/certificates).
    • Desirable:
  • Experience working outside of mainstream settings (e.g., EOTAS and home education).
  • Knowledge of assistive technology or alternative communication methods
    • Safeguarding Note: All applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and must provide references.
