We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 student with additional needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the learning and personal development of a Year 1 child with special educational needs. The Role: Provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 student with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and progress in their learning.
Assist with the child's social, emotional, and behavioural development, ensuring a supportive and safe environment.
Work alongside the class teacher to adapt resources and provide personalised support based on the child's needs.
Promote the student's independence, supporting them in developing confidence and a positive attitude towards learning.
Track and record the child's progress, ensuring communication is maintained between the teaching team and other professionals involved.
Be part of a collaborative team that ensures the child receives the support they need to thrive in school.
