Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (UES1) A welcoming mainstream primary school in Hayes is seeking an energetic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils with complex needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. About the School The school is a vibrant 3-form entry mainstream primary with a strong inclusive ethos. Staff work collaboratively to ensure all pupils receive the support they need to thrive. You will be working within a specialist SEN class, supporting children with a range of complex needs, in an environment that prioritises structure, consistency, and pupil wellbeing. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide targeted support within a specialist SEN class Work with children with a range of complex needs Support pupils in accessing learning tailored to their individual needs Use PECS and Makaton as key communication

    tools Assist the teacher in delivering structured, differentiated lessons Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development Promote independence, engagement, and confidence Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive environment About You Experience supporting children with SEN and complex needs Level 2 or 3 qualification (Supporting Teaching & Learning, Early Years, CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) Essential: Experience using PECS and Makaton Energetic, proactive, and resilient Patient, adaptable, and positive Strong communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What's on Offer Supportive leadership and team environment Ongoing training and development Long-term opportunities and career progression A highly rewarding role making a real difference
