Full Job Description

The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
  • Build positive, consistent relationships to support behaviour and engagement
  • Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging situations
  • Support students' emotional wellbeing, confidence, and social development
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support

    Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (school, youth work, care, sports coaching, etc.)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach under pressure
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
  • Ability to act as a positive role model
