Full Job Description
The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
- Build positive, consistent relationships to support behaviour and engagement
- Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging situations
- Support students' emotional wellbeing, confidence, and social development
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support
Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (school, youth work, care, sports coaching, etc.) - A calm, patient, and resilient approach under pressure
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
