SEN Teaching Assistant - Caerphilly Salary: £26,228 - £27,593 per year based on 37.5 hours per week Contract: Full time, permanent position. Start date: As soon as possible or September 2026 School Staffing Solutions are working with a secondary SEN school in Caerphilly who require a Teaching Assistant to mentor and support their pupils. The school provides high quality learning experiences within a small, focused nurturing environment to secondary school aged children who have an IDP/ALN Statement and have ADHD and/or express behaviours that are challenging or inappropriate in a community setting. The staff to student ratio is usually 2:4 in all classes. Key Responsibilities Mentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities
Assist with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management
Daily reports on learners' progress and barriers to learning
Interaction with parents/care givers on a regular basisThe successful candidate will have: A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
