SEN Teaching Assistant

The Supply Register are delighted to be working in partnership with Beckfoot Trust to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils at Hazelbeck School.
Hazelbeck School is a specialist setting supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including severe and profound learning difficulties, autism, and associated communication and sensory needs. Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs

Support pupils with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
+
Assist with communication strategies (including visual supports and alternative communication systems)
+
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Experience working with children or adults with SEN (school-based or care setting)

A patient, resilient and nurturing approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills
+
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
+
A willingness to support personal care needs
