Aurora Hanley School is proud to be rated Outstanding by Ofsted. We provide innovative education and care for young people aged 6-19 with complex needs, including Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, and associated conditions.
We're looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our pupils' learning, wellbeing, and personal development. You'll help create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive., + Supporting pupils with learning activities and care needs
+ Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
+ Encouraging independence and personal growth
+ Assisting teachers in delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum
+ Adapting to the varied needs of pupils and being flexible in your approach

+ Experienced in working with children with SEN (paid or voluntary)
+ Flexible, creative, and child-centred
+ Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
+ Able to build warm, supportive relationships with pupils
Essential qualifications and skills:
+ GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above)
+ Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
+ Knowledge of SEN, SEMH, or ASD
Desirable:
+ Level 2+ qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
+ Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
