Full Job Description

At Penny Tree School, you'll have the time, support and freedom to teach in a way that helps students succeed academically, socially and emotionally. We're looking for a passionate and committed Teacher to join our growing team. Whether your experience is in mainstream, SEND, primary or secondary education, we'd love to hear from you if you're motivated by helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their potential. This is a rewarding opportunity to teach small classes, build meaningful relationships and adapt learning to meet individual needs. You'll be supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team and a collaborative group of colleagues who share a commitment to improving outcomes for every student. Every day brings the chance to celebrate progress, build confidence and help young people achieve things they may never have believed possible. What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to small groups of students.
  • Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs, abilities and EHCP outcomes.
  • Monitor progress and celebrate achievement, both academically and personally.
  • Work closely with Learning Support Assistants and other professionals to support student success.
  • Create a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families and external professionals.
  • Support students to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

UK QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
  • Experience teaching in either primary, secondary, SEND or alternative provision settings.
  • A creative and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
  • Passionate about helping students with additional needs achieve positive outcomes.
  • Able to build strong relationships and inspire confidence in young people.
  • Resilient, patient and committed to inclusive education.
  • A team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and families.

Our new Options Autism school Penny Tree will have capacity for up to 100 students and is expected to open for students in the near future.
  • At Penny Tree School, you will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team at the very start of an exciting journey. Backed by the expertise of Options Autism and Outcomes First Group, you will benefit from access to a wide professional network, ongoing development opportunities, and the chance to make a meaningful difference to the lives of the students we serve. At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity. We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a 'Great Place to Work' for the sixth year running.

We place students and vulnerable young adults at the heart of everything we do, so every day brings the satisfaction of making a real difference. We are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and young people. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS.
