Full Job Description
A well-regarded specialist school in Nottingham is seeking an organised, proactive and detail-focused SEN Administrator to join its supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and who understands the importance of accurate records, strong communication and efficient systems. The school provides a calm, structured and nurturing environment for pupils with a range of SEND needs. Staff work closely together to deliver high-quality provision, strong safeguarding and consistent support for pupils and families., As SEN Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting SEND systems and documentation, working closely with the SENCO and wider pastoral team. Responsibilities typically include:
- Maintaining accurate SEND records and confidential documentation
- Supporting EHCP administration, reviews and paperwork timelines
- Coordinating meetings with parents, staff and external professionals
- Preparing and circulating documents, notes and action points
- Supporting referrals and liaison with agencies as required
- Updating school systems and tracking information accurately
- Supporting the wider admin team when needed
Experience in administration (education/SEND desirable, but not essential) - Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with families and professionals
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Confidence using IT systems (email, spreadsheets, databases/MIS)
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
