Full Job Description

Job objectives and responsibilities

  • To ensure all patrols of the team are completed and recorded, with regular spot checks to be completed.
  • To assist the Security Team to respond to incidents and be aware of all procedures required within incidents, using appropriate Code and Phonetic Communication.
  • Ensure all officers are competent and confident on lockdown procedures.
  • Ensure you are aware of roles and responsibilities with Critical Incident Management Training.
  • To have complete understanding of Emergency procedures and the various roles that is required.
  • To ensure that your team's knowledge is upheld by personally conducting regular refresher training and doing spot checks.
  • Challenge any suspicious behavior in a non-physical manner.
  • To monitor access and egress of personnel and respond to breaches.
  • To ensure the delivery of a professional security service focused on the experience of colleagues and guests at Lloyds of London at all times.
  • To ensure your team all are wearing correct uniform, including earpieces, while on post.
  • To ensure Radio Checks are undertaken within the period requested by the Control Centre.
  • To ensure that all problems or incidents, which occur during the course of your duties, are reported promptly to the Security Control Room (SCR.
  • To take lead in any incident situation and direct the team to ensure the incident is managed seamlessly in collaboration with the Control room team.
  • To ensure all Security Services Team Members are fully conversant with the standard operating and emergency procedures, ensuring an appropriate and professionally managed response to any situation that arises.
  • To ensure integrity of the security systems is maintained as directed by the Control Room.
  • To log any faults of equipment encountered while on duty, i.e. Radios, etc.
  • To immediately report all potentially suspicious packages, vehicles and characters within your patrols to SCR and be advised about unattended valuables and actions to be taken
  • Any other duties deemed to be appropriate or necessary to the post.
  • Conducts monthly one-to-one with your team
  • Ensure that all staff have Return to Work interviews when returning from a period of sickness.
  • Support the delivery of staff rostering to ensure smooth running of service delivery.
  • Supervise new staff training in line with site and company requirements, documented and signed for.
  • Pro-actively check team compliance in accordance with the Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments
  • To request any additional training you have identified your team member need, both as a team and as individuals.
  • Brief your team during any handover and if any additional information is received during a shift.
  • Liaise with reception and event staff to make sure our team is up to date with any new information.
  • To proactively observe and manage the Security Services Team Members' service delivery within the reception area.
  • To develop, practice and promote good internal relations in order to identify and build opportunities to improve relationships across service providers.
  • To develop and mentor your team members.
  • Carry out any "Reasonable Request" made by Managers or Lloyd's Management.
  • Personal Specifications:
  • A valid SIA License
  • Knowledge of HR issues (investigations, grievances, disciplines etc)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership skills
  • Organise and manage workloads
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change(s)
  • Set standards

  • Computer Literate
  • Shift: Monday - Friday: 0700-1700
