Security Officer

• Mitie has a great opportunity for a Security Officer in Manchester at one of our client's primary locations. You will be contracted to a minimum of 42 hours a week with a pay rate of £14.17 per hour.
• The location is open six days a week, Monday to Saturday, however you may be asked to work special events that finish after 20:00, or occur on a Sunday.
• You will be part of a large security team each day the reports to the Security Supervisor, with an Operations Manager also having oversight.

The ideal candidate + The Security Officer will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers. + The Security Officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude. + The Security Officer should be able to work on own initiative. + Excellent communication skills is essential (written and verbal). + Retail Security experience is preferred but not essential. + Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs. + Calm under pressure. + Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act. Qualities + Knowledge of relevant procedures + Level of customer Service + Team Player + Health and safety awareness and knowledge + Communication What we are looking for + Previous Security Experience + SIA License + SC Clearance desirable
