Are you a professional Security Officer looking for your next challenge? We're seeking reliable, customer-focused individuals to join our team at a prestigious National Grid Training Centre in Newark. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a high-profile site where you'll play a vital role in protecting people, property and critical infrastructure while delivering outstanding customer service. Every day is different, and you'll be at the heart of maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for staff, visitors and contractors. What You'll Be Doing Security Operations
- Providing a highly visible security presence across the site.
- Conducting internal and external patrols.
- Managing access control and visitor procedures.
- Monitoring site activity and responding to incidents appropriately.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing incident reports.
- Following site assignment instructions and operational procedures.
- Supporting emergency response procedures when required.
- Working closely with site management and the wider security team to ensure the highest standards are maintained. Health & Safety
- Identifying and reporting potential hazards and security risks.
- Ensuring compliance with site policies and procedures.
- Responding confidently and professionally to incidents and emergencies.
- Promoting a safe working environment for all site users. Training & Development
- Completing all mandatory training and competency requirements.
- Taking ownership of your professional development.
- Maintaining an up-to-date SIA licence and relevant certifications.
- Learning new skills and embracing opportunities for career progression.
Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence Previous security experience Enhanced DBS clearance (or ability to obtain) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Strong attention to detail and observational skills IT literacy and confidence using workplace technology Flexible approach to working days, nights, weekends and public holidays Desirable Experience working at corporate, infrastructure or high-security sites First Aid qualification Knowledge of health and safety best practice What You'll Receive - Competitive hourly pay of £13.67 per hour
