Job Title: Site Protection Officer (SPO) - Gist Chesterfield Distribution Centre Location: Chesterfield Hours: 4on 4off- Days, Nights & Weekends (including short-notice cover) Contract Type: Full-time Job Overview Fantastic opportunity to join the Mitie and Marks & Spencer family! We are looking for a professional and reliable Site Protection Officer (SPO) to provide high-quality security services at the Gist Distribution Centre in Chesterfield. As an SPO, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment for colleagues, visitors, and contractors, protecting company assets, and delivering excellent customer service in line with Mitie and M&S standards. The role requires flexibility across days, nights, and weekends, including the ability to provide short-notice cover when required. Full training will be provided. Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide professional security cover at the Gist Chesterfield Distribution Centre
• Deliver excellent customer service in line with Mitie and M&S values
• Maintain high standards of appearance, conduct, and professionalism at all times
• Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and vehicle movements in accordance with site procedures
• Carry out regular internal and external patrols to ensure site safety and security
• Support the prevention and investigation of theft, stock loss, and unauthorised access
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
• Complete accurate and timely incident reports and handovers
• Work collaboratively with the Site Protection Team Leader and site management
• Comply with all site-specific procedures, security policies, and instructions
• Provide flexible support, including short-notice cover when operationally required
Person Specification Literate and numerate with strong attention to detail Professional appearance with high personal standards Reliable, adaptable, and punctual Able to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Calm and confident under pressure with a positive attitude Must hold a valid front-line SIA Licence Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Use all equipment and PPE correctly and responsibly
• Take reasonable care for your own safety and that of others
• Identify and report any training or equipment needs
