Introduction
This vacancy is for an Apprentice Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician based in Coppull, Chorley. Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Technician design, install, commission and maintain electronic systems in and outside simple and complex premises to protect individuals, homes and properties from risk and danger.

What You'll Do
Apprentice Security Systems Engineer Location: Chorley / Coppull (with field travel nationally)
Position Type: Full-Time- Apprenticeship
The job purpose is to learn the skills needed to install, maintain, and repair electronic security systems while working alongside experienced senior engineers.
You will split your time between hands-on field experience and classroom-based learning to earn a formal qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Installations: Help install CCTV cameras, intruder alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems
- Maintenance & Repairs: Learn to run diagnostics, test system components, and replace faulty equipment
- Cable Management: Pull, route, and fix cables safely in residential and commercial properties
- Customer Service: Shadow senior staff to learn how to demonstrate system operations to clients
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain clean workspaces and follow strict health and safety guidelines
- Academic Progress: Complete all college coursework, portfolio evidence, and exams on schedule
