Section Engineer

Job DescriptionWe're looking for a Section Engineer to join our wastewater construction team based in Hogsmill, Surrey.Location: Hogsmill, Surrey Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically astute Section Engineer to join our progressive and delivery-focused team within the wastewater construction sector. You will play a key role in supporting the engineering and technical compliance of the project, bridging the gap between design and construction, and providing engineering support across the project to ensure safe and timely delivery to the required standard.What will you be responsible for?As a Section Engineer, you'll be working within the wastewater construction team, supporting them in delivering projects safely, on time, and to specification. Your day to day will include: Interpreting design documentation and ensuring works are carried out in accordance with

approved drawings and specifications Supporting construction teams with technical queries, resolving design conflicts, and driving value engineering initiatives Managing and coordinating temporary works designs and approvals in line with site requirements and programme Monitoring and recording construction progress and providing accurate technical input to support project reporting and planning Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, CDM regulations, and internal quality proceduresWhat are we looking for?This role of Section Engineer is great for you if: You have an HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree (or demonstrable equivalent experience) in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering discipline You have practical experience working on infrastructure or wastewater construction projects, with a focus on engineering assurance You can read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and design packages You have strong analytical and
problem-solving skills with a focus on technical detail and site coordination You hold a valid CSCS card and a Full driving licence, and have excellent communication skills with proficiency in MS Office and construction-related softwareWe're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
