Full Job Description

Play a vital role in shaping sustainable communities by managing developer contributions and ensuring investment is secured for the infrastructure, services and facilities that local people need., As a Section 106 Officer, you will be responsible for negotiating, monitoring and administering Section 106 agreements, ensuring developer contributions are collected, managed and delivered effectively. Working closely with planning colleagues, developers and other stakeholders, you will oversee funding arrangements, monitor agreement triggers, maintain accurate records and provide advice on planning obligations.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will help maximise the benefits of new development, support infrastructure delivery and ensure the Council meets its statutory responsibilities. You will also prepare reports, manage financial information and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and systems.

You will be an organised and detail-focused professional with excellent communication and analytical skills. You will have experience working with developer contributions, planning obligations or a related area, alongside the ability to manage data accurately and interpret complex information.

You will be confident building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, able to prioritise competing demands and committed to delivering a high standard of customer service. Knowledge of Section 106 agreements, Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and local authority planning processes would be advantageous.
