Secondary Supply Teacher

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will step into classrooms confidently, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the usual class teacher. You will uphold high standards of teaching, behaviour, and professionalism at all times., In the Classroom

• Deliver pre-set lessons effectively across your subject specialism and/or general cover
• Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with each school's behaviour policy
• Ensure students remain focused, safe, and on task
• Adapt quickly to different school settings, routines, and expectations
• Accurately record attendance and complete any required lesson feedback
• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Wider School Responsibilities
• Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism and integrity
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff, cover managers, and senior leaders
• Supervise students during duties such as transitions, break, and lunch if required
• Respect confidentiality and data protection standards
• Follow health and safety protocols within the school environment
