Teach English across relevant key stages, planning and delivering high quality lessons

Support the Head of Department in the strategic leadership of the English department

Contribute to curriculum design, sequencing and assessment to raise standards and outcomes

Support monitoring of teaching, learning and student progress within the department

Help promote high expectations, consistent behaviour and positive attitudes to learning

We are looking for a Second in Department for English to play a key leadership role in shaping curriculum, supporting colleagues, and raising achievement across a dynamic and ambitious English department., Qualified Teacher Status (or recognised equivalent)

Strong subject knowledge in English

Excellent classroom practice with high expectations for all learners

Curriculum and assessment understanding across relevant key stages

Data literacy: able to analyse progress and attainment to inform action
