Second in Charge of English (TLR 2c) - Maternity Cover This is a fantastic opportunity to join the leadership team of our English Department, from January 2027. We are seeking a postholder who will share the drive, vision, enthusiasm and dedication of the Head of Department and make a key contribution in moving the department forward. This is a position for a person capable of making an impact; passionate about education and relentless in the pursuit of improved standards and outcomes for learners in English. Leadership experience is preferred, but not essential. Candidates looking for full-or part-time hours are welcome to apply. Ultimately, we are looking for a teacher with:
- The ability to support both the Head of Department and practitioners in the team.
- A willingness to mentor and lead on Teaching and Learning.
- Credibility as a classroom practitioner, with a track record of success in enabling attainment and achievement.
- High expectations which inspire, enthuse, motivate and challenge students.
- Readiness to teach Y7-11 and a commitment to mixed attainment teaching.
