SDA - Systems Engineer

Working as a sub-system commissioning overseer or system integration specialist within a specialised team will offer the opportunity to play a key role in in support of the UK's continuous at-sea nuclear deterrent (CASD).

You will form part of a highly effective and dedicated team delivering the nation's highest priority project. You will be supported to quickly gain the experience required to deliver a pivotal role in the provision of authoritative direction and guidance as the intelligent customer for weapon system installation, test and commissioning activities, whilst building a relationship with international partners in meeting the requirements of the build contract and sales agreement.

As a member of this team, you will be involved in a high profile, technically complex programme, making these roles both exciting and challenging. This includes providing advice on technical problem solving, direction, guidance, and conduct all necessary assurance and acceptance activities across supplier, check-out, installation, setting to work and testing and commissioning activities whilst confirming that all necessary platform services for effective incorporation of the weapon system are in place. This will entail ensuring compliance with ship specification, build standards, transversal requirements, and overall contract acceptance.

Full time working is required as provision of MOD oversight dictates physical presence in shipyard to monitor shipyard installation test programme conduct.
