PLEASE NOTE it is a requirement of this Trust that all successful applicants pay for their DBS certificate if a check is required for the post. This will be done through deduction from your monthly pay over a maximum of three months. It is also a requirement that all successful applicants register or are registered with the DBS update service where a DBS is required.
All new entrants to the NHS will be appointed on the minimum of the pay scale in line with Terms & Conditions., An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Screening Officers to join the North East Bowel Cancer Screening Programme Hub which supports Bowel Cancer Screening Services for a population of 9 million.
The role includes administrative, laboratory and call centre functions, including the processing of returned screening samples, acting as first point of contact on the national Freephone helpline, as well as helping in the production of significant quantities of outgoing mail (invitations, reminders, test packs and results) using bespoke software and complex mailroom equipment as part of the call and re-call of the national screening programme., The post-holder will work as part of the integrated administrative and laboratory based team, working to meet the national targets and standards set by the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (NHS BCSP).
