We are looking for a Cleaner (known also as a Scout in Colleges) who is passionate about providing an excellent housekeeping service.

 Part-time (20 hours per week: 10am – 2pm) | £12.94 per hour

Work patterns will be any 5 days from 7 (including some weekend working)

About St Stephen's House

St Stephen's House is a theological college dedicated to training ordinands and lay students for ministry in the Church of England and other Anglican churches worldwide. As a small, specialist institution with 16 resident ordinands (current academic year) and 20 staff members, we offer a close-knit, supportive community environment focused on academic excellence and spiritual formation.

The College offers the full range of undergraduate and graduate theological qualifications of the University of Oxford for ordinands, clergy and lay workers. It is also validated by the University of Durham as a Theological Education Institution, offering the Common Award for all suitably qualified applicants. It also provides a range of other non-validated courses and resources through the Edward King Centre and the Institute of Sacred Music. Therefore, the College also has a number of individuals training on varying academic pathways, part-time.

Located in the heart of Oxford, the College combines rigorous theological education with practical ministry training, maintaining strong connections with the wider university and the local church community.

In addition to housing our 16 resident ordinands, the College has a further 39 bedrooms occupied by students from other Oxford Colleges.

Essential requirements for the job:

• spoken English to conversational standard
• right to work in the UK
• at least 6 months’ cleaning experience, preferably gained within colleges/student accommodation or hotels.
• Please note that the job involves lifting and carrying.
