Scientific Director

How will you shape scientific strategy across medical affairs-from pre-launch through to launch and beyond-lead high-value discussions with senior stakeholders, and confidently challenge thinking with a clear, evidence-based point of view. We're hiring for a Scientific Director who will shape content and drive scientific strategy. The role You will be a source of scientific, editorial and therapy area expertise within Sciterion, providing strategic direction and management across our client accounts. You will lead and coach the wider scientific team to ensure excellence in the delivery of client projects across a wide range of therapy areas. Key responsibilities Provide strategic leadership to ensure excellent
client relationshipsProvide effective line management to ensure training and development opportunities across the teamEnsure optimal allocation of scientific services resource and plan mid to long-term account alignment and succession planningWork in partnership with client services team and business SLT to ensure all account and business objectives are metBuild relationships and liaise effectively with the Havas Health network, clients and external expertsProactively provide creative ideas and strategic insights to assist and challenge the client's thinking and planningIntimately understand client and competitor products, therapy areas, portfolio and commercial strategy in the context of the current and future marketKeep up-to-date with industry codes of practice/legislation and external issues or events that may affect existing or potential accounts, or the business as a wholeIdentify and develop opportunities for organic growth, new business and new ideas for Medical Education
productsLead proposal development and present at pitches to secure new business opportunitiesMonitor project costs against agreed budgets and discuss any changes to specification with the wider project team and the client at the earliest opportunityCommunicate clearly to team members at all times and budget guidelines and proactively monitor progress against milestonesEstablish, and be responsible for maintaining a high quality of medical writing across account teamsDevelop, monitor and promote processes for excellent briefing and reviewingAct as scientific and strategic counsel to ensure internal and external comments are addressed intelligently and question any that are inappropriate, inaccurate or unclear The person Degree educated in science or medicine with a strong scientific background, a PhD or Masters would be an advantageProven experience working in a range of therapy areas within a medical communications environmentIn-depth understanding of UK and European medical regulatory
environmentUnderstanding of the drug development and commercialisation processYou will have a strategic mindset - able to partner with our client services teams to grow and strengthen our client relationships
