Full Job Description
The school is seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic, and dedicated Science Teacher with a passion for the subject and the ability to engage and inspire students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 to 4 Chemistry, ensuring that all students make excellent progress and develop a love for science., Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Assessing, tracking, and recording pupil progress to inform teaching and support individual learning needs.
Creating a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent thinking.
Preparing students for GCSE examinations and supporting them in achieving their academic potential.
Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives within Technology.
Participating in school events, trips, and enrichment activities that enhance students' understanding of science and the wider world.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to promote positive attitudes to learning and achievement.This role is suitable for both Experienced Teachers and ECTs. You will join a friendly and collaborative department that strives to ensure all students enjoy learning and exceed expectations. The school will look to interview asap for a September start. The role will initially be on a term basis to make sure the fit is right for both the school and candidate but will then be possibly made permanent.
