Full Job Description
As our School Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors. You'll provide high-quality administrative support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, helping to keep our school running efficiently and professionally. You'll work both independently and as part of a small, supportive team, using your initiative to manage a wide range of tasks-from maintaining accurate pupil records to welcoming visitors and supporting essential school processes.,
- Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring safeguarding and sign-in procedures are followed
- Provide a welcoming and professional reception service, including hospitality for visitors
- Manage visitor access, including escorting visitors when required and maintaining accurate records for fire safety
- Handle telephone enquiries professionally, taking and relaying messages as appropriate
- Receive and manage deliveries
- Provide administrative support including photocopying, laminating, filing, binding, and document collation
- Maintain inventory and stock relevant to the reception area
- Ensure reception and conference room areas are kept tidy, organised, and presentable
Friendly, professional and passionate about supporting children, families and colleagues. - An excellent communicator who builds positive relationships and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organised, with strong administrative skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, databases and online systems to maintain accurate records.
- Calm, adaptable and proactive, with the ability to use initiative and remain positive under pressure.
- Committed to safeguarding, confidentiality and acting as a positive role model for pupils.
- Reliable, enthusiastic and eager to learn, with GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence is essential
