School of Digital Arts (SODA) Open Day Tour and Student Ambassadors

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role and be registered with Jobs4Students. Overview The School of Digital Arts are seeking to recruit proactive, organised, professional, and enthusiastic students currently studying on an undergraduate course in the School of Digital Arts, Manchester Met for Facilities Tour Ambassadors to support our Autumn Open Days 2026. As a SoDA Tour Ambassador and/or Student Ambassador, you will play an important role in welcoming prospective students and their guests, sharing your experiences of studying at Manchester Met, and helping visitors gain a positive understanding of university life. You will provide information about your course and subject area, highlight the benefits of higher education, and assist visitors throughout the day.,

• Represent your course and subject area at Open Days.
• Support academic staff by answering questions from prospective students and guests.
• Assist with presentations, demonstrations, and showcasing department facilities.
• Welcome visitors, offer directions, and provide general assistance throughout the event.
• Lead campus and subject area tours, giving visitors an engaging insight into student life and studying at Manchester Met., Manchester Metropolitan University is committed to supporting the rights, responsibilities, dignity, health and wellbeing of staff and students through our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
  
  This opportunity is open to current School of Digital Arts Undergraduate students only. Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following:
• You must be studying BA Animation, BA Filmmaking, BA Future Media Production, BA Games Art, BSc Games Design, BA Music & Sound Design, BA Photography or BSc Web & UX at SODA, Manchester Met
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage positively with staff, prospective students, teachers, and visitors.
• The ability to act as a positive ambassador and role model for Manchester Met and its student community.
• A positive attitude towards higher education, the student experience, and Manchester Metropolitan University.
• Evidence of a responsible attitude and the ability to show initiative.

Hours of Work: 7 hours per day for above Open day dates, plus additional hours for training to be arranged and confirmed. Details of briefing/training: To be arranged with your Programme Leader or Technical Services, to be confirmed nearer the date.
