School Maintenance Technician Salary: £27,747 to £30,014 per annum Permanent Full-Time Location: R.E.A.L Independent Schools - Mansfield Hours: 40 per week At R.E.A.L. Education, our support services team plays a vital role in helping children and young adults achieve their full potential. We're looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to help keep our buildings and grounds safe, secure and well-maintained across multiple sites. What You'll Do You'll ensure our premises are always fit for purpose by:

  • Carrying out general repairs, decorating and planned maintenance
  • Maintaining fixtures, fittings, equipment and the fabric of the building
  • Monitoring plant, heating, ventilation and lighting systems
  • Managing security, including opening/locking buildings and alarm checks
  • Keeping outdoor areas tidy, safe and hazard-free
  • Supporting statutory checks such as fire alarms, emergency lighting and PAT testing
  • Handling portering tasks, parcel deliveries, room setups and waste management
  • Responding to emergencies and ensuring safe, clean environments
  • Driving company vehicles, including minibuses, when required
