Full Job Description
The School Governor plays a vital role in the strategic leadership of the school. Governors are volunteers who work alongside the Principal and senior leadership team to ensure the school is effectively managed, providing guidance, support and challenge. Governors also help monitor the school's progress and the overall direction of the school.,
- Attend regular governing body meetings (typically once a term in person)
- Support and challenge the school leadership team to ensure the school is achieving its objectives
- Monitor the school's progress and the effectiveness
Are passionate about education and the wellbeing of students - have a diverse range of skills and experiences (e.g. finance, HR, education, legal, or community involvement)
- Can think strategically, work collaboratively, and bring fresh ideas to the table
- Are willing to dedicate time to attend meetings and contribute to the school's development
