School Cleaner

Overview To ensure that the school premises are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition to provide a welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. To carry out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with Claremont's policies under the direction of the Principal. Location: Claremont Senior School Line Manager: Site Manager Hours: 25 hours per week, 5 hours per day Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and other areas of the school as directed.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Empty and clean bins, ensuring waste is disposed of safely and correctly.
• Refill soap, paper towel, and toilet roll dispensers as required.
• Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors at safe heights.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any faults or shortages.
• Follow all school health and safety procedures, including the safe use and storage of cleaning materials (COSHH).
• Secure areas after cleaning to maintain site security.
• Report any damages, hazards, or maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with occasional deep cleans during school holidays or as required.
• Support the wider facilities team in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the school site.
• Co-ordinate/hand over notes with the evening cleaning team
• Co-ordinate stock levels with the maintenance team
