Full Job Description
- Vacuuming/cleaning floors.
- Spot cleaning of spillages.
- Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass.
- Emptying and cleaning bins (daily).
- Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds.
- Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.
- Wiping, dusting, cobweb removal, polishing.
- Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc (daily).
- Undertake deep clean as and when required.
- Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and ensure the building is secure on exit.
- Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time. Like many SEN environments; your duties are likely to vary and therefore candidates will need to be flexible and be able to lend a hand whenever required.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulation in regard to cleaning equipment and cleaning materials.
- Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to prioritise work and be flexible.
- Experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties
Aurora Charnwood School is opening its doors in late 2026 (tbc) and will be a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious hub for children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Communication and Interaction.
