  • Ensure all food hygiene, food safety, Health and Safety and COSHH requirements are followed

You don't need to have spent your whole career working in schools.
  • You may currently be working in a restaurant, hotel, care setting, contract catering or another busy kitchen and be ready to use your skills somewhere that offers a different pace and working pattern. We're looking for someone who:
  • Has experience cooking within a school, care or high volume catering environment
  • Can confidently prepare fresh, nutritious meals to a consistently high standard
  • Understands how to cater safely for different dietary requirements
  • Is organised and comfortable managing the practical side of a kitchen, including stock, ordering and portion control
  • Takes food hygiene, safety and cleanliness seriously
  • Can work independently, take responsibility and make good decisions
  • Communicates well and enjoys being part of a wider team
  • Is reliable, flexible and takes genuine pride in what they produce
