Full Job Description

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and people-focused Scheduler to join our friendly and hardworking team. As a key part of our operations function, you will help ensure work is allocated efficiently, service levels are achieved, and communication remains seamless between engineers, supervisors, and clients., We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating multiple priorities. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within a supportive team while playing a critical part in delivering excellent service and maintaining operational performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate work orders and prioritise engineer workloads to ensure deadlines and service levels are met
  • Monitor breach reports and identify jobs requiring urgent attention or escalation.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed job records, updating statuses and notes as required.
  • Escalate at-risk jobs promptly and support effective resolution planning.
  • Liaise with engineers, supervisors, colleagues, and customers to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Manage returned work orders, ensuring all actions and updates are correctly recorded.
  • Review planned preventative maintenance schedules and support ongoing work planning activities.
  • Manage emails, calls, and team communications while maintaining clear handovers and documentation.

    Previous experience in a scheduling, coordination, or service desk role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused when managing competing priorities.
  • Strong team-working approach with a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using scheduling systems such as Maximo or PSO would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of service level agreements (SLAs) and performance monitoring.
