Full Job Description

Working closely with the Planning Manager, Production teams and Supply Chain colleagues, you'll be responsible for maintaining production plans, issuing daily schedules and helping the factory respond effectively to changing demand. What You'll Be Doing Production Scheduling

  • Create efficient production schedules that maximise factory performance and customer service.
  • Balance factory capacity, labour requirements and material availability when producing plans.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to changing customer demand and operational challenges.
  • Work closely with Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure schedules are understood and achievable.
  • Place and expedite Purchase Orders where required.
  • Produce and distribute reports tailored to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the delivery of service, waste and efficiency targets.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous planning and/or scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of MRP/ERP systems would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of food manufacturing and food safety principles.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.

    Competitive salary of £32,000 - £34,000.
