Full Job Description
We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our vibrant team at Scarlet Kitchen, part of our award-winning hotel on the Cornish clifftops. You'll be helping to craft beautiful, sustainable dishes that celebrate the best of local produce. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's ready to take the next step in their culinary career within a supportive, people-focused environment. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with Scarlet's food philosophy
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Contribute to menu development with creative input
- Ensure consistency and excellence in every plate
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams

- Food Safety Level 2 (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Professional Cookery (desired)
- Passion for sustainability and local sourcing, Strong communication and teamwork
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work under pressure
- Creativity and a willingness to learn
- Time management and organisational skills
