Full Job Description

As our new Statutory Administration Assistant here at Peterborough City Council you will provide administrative support to ensure statutory processes are managed efficiently and within legal timescales. You main duties will include maintaining accurate records, coordinating assessments and reviews, preparing correspondence and documentation, monitoring deadlines, and acting as a key point of contact for families, schools, and professionals. Interviews will take place 18th September All about our Team The Statutory SEND Team is dedicated to ensuring that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need to achieve their best outcomes. We work collaboratively with families, educational settings, health professionals and other partners to coordinate the Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment process and maintain high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Our team is committed to delivering a child-centred, inclusive and legally compliant service, placing the voices of children, young people and their families at the heart of decision-making. Through partnership working, careful case management and a focus on positive outcomes, we strive to ensure that every child and young person can access the right support, at the right time, in the right place.

  • Highly organised and customer-focused, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workloads while meeting tight deadlines and statutory timescales.
  • Effective team player with a proactive and flexible approach, able to use initiative, work independently or collaboratively, and perform well in a pressured environment.
  • ICT proficient, with experience maintaining accurate electronic records, inputting data correctly, and ensuring information is kept up to date.
