Sales Manager

We are seeking an ambitious results driven Sales and Retention Manager to lead commercial growth and member engagement at our premium health club In this dual focused leadership role you will drive both ends of the member lifecycle acquiring new members through strategic outreach and local marketing while building robust retention strategies that reduce churn and enhance member satisfaction
You will manage and inspire a team of Membership Advisors working closely with the Fitness and Front of House teams to ensure an outstanding member experience from day one

Key Responsibilities

Membership Sales and Revenue Growth Lead Generation and Sales Execution
Drive the full sales pipeline from inbound enquiries and digital leads to outreach events corporate partnerships and community networking

Team Leadership
Recruit train and mentor the sales team to consistently achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales targets

Tours and Conversions
Conduct high converting club tours and implement effective consultative sales techniques aligned with our brand values

Campaign Strategy
Collaborate with the marketing team to execute targeted promotional campaigns and seasonal open days

Member Retention and Engagement Churn Reduction Strategy
Monitor key metrics attrition rates class attendance club usage frequency to identify churn risks and implement targeted intervention campaigns

Onboarding Excellence
Oversee the member onboarding journey induction.

Member Feedback and Resolution
Manage member feedback channels NPS surveys cancellation requests exit interviews to address root causes of member drop off
Community Building
Partner with the Group Exercise and Personal Training teams to organise member events challenges and workshops that foster a strong club community

Reporting and Financial Management
Track and present weekly and monthly performance reports on sales pipelines conversion rates and net member movement

CRM Management
Maintain full data integrity within our CRM system and optimise membership package sales e g peak vs off peak, corporate tiers flexible vs annual contracts to maximize yield per member

Essential Experience and Qualifications Industry Experience Minimum 2 to 3 years in sales or retention management within the UK health fitness or leisure sector commercial health clubs boutique studios or public sector leisure trusts
Proven Track Record Demonstrated success in hitting sales targets and implementing measurable retention or churn reduction strategies
CRM Proficiency Experience using health club management software
Team Management Experience supervising coaching or leading a team in a target driven customer facing environment
